As a teacher who has helped many students study for IELTS, I have heard a number of reasons why this test is taken. Here are a few:
- I want to go to a university in America or England.
- It will help me learn English faster.
- My friends told me it is easier than TOEFL.
- The scores make more sense to me.
- If I get an IELTS score, I can skip going to English classes.
Some students have even told me:
- My company wants me to take IELTS.
- I need a good IELTS score for my scholarship.
Whatever your reason, I can hear one big reason.
“I have big dreams for my life and I want to reach them. A good IELTS score can help me reach my dreams.”
