Which Halloween Costume Would You Buy?

They are scary! Some of them are cute! Which would you buy?

I visited the Spirit of Halloween store here in America to see what was for sale.  There were many Halloween costumes.  Some of them were for younger kids, but many of them were for adults.

As I looked at them, I thought about how many of my students would enjoy walking through this store.  There are many English vocabulary words that are interesting to learn.  There are also some American customs that are interesting to learn.  Here is a short video clip for you to watch.

What costume did you like the best?  Would you like to try the DIY makeup? If you like playing video games, there were even some costumes for characters from Fortnite.  It all looked so real.

Why do Americans love this holiday so much?  It is a time to receive candies, go to Halloween parties, visit pumpkin patches with friends, and even visit a haunted house.

This Halloween holiday and many other American holidays are filled with customs and traditions.  Learning about these customs and traditions are a great way to learn many new English vocabulary words.

If you want to know more about the history of Halloween, check out this post.  Surprise! Halloween isn’t actually originally an American holiday.
