It is definitely still a risk to travel during this COVID era, especially in airplanes. However, when it is safe to travel again, will you be ready to speak English well? If you are not preparing for your future now, when will you? If you want to travel to English speaking locations, you need to keep studying English and getting ready for fun communication.
Since we live in Oregon, we decided to take a short weekend trip by car. Traveling by car is safe because I was only with my family. On this trip, we went to Mount Hood, Oregon’s highest mountain, and stayed overnight in a tiny house. Seeing Mt. Hood up close is breathtaking. It is such a beautiful grandiose part of Oregon’s nature. It was also special for us to travel with one of our cats.
In the video here, you can see more about this beautiful area of Oregon and learn more about staying in a tiny house. The story of the trip is filled with good English listening practice. I would also recommend that you download the free list of vocabulary words used in the video.
You can download that list here. It also comes with audio in which I share definitions and example sentences.
Would you like to visit Mt. Hood in Oregon? How about staying in a tiny house? I hope you understood the story of this trip. Did you download the vocabulary list to review the words we used?
Perhaps, a great way to practice telling a story like this in English is to take a trip near where you live. Make a simple video and talk about your experience. It is a good way to improve your speaking and practice fluency. I would love to hear a story from you about your travels. You can share it with me here learnenglishwithmrjerry@gmail.com.
